Typical painting process

Here's a comic style illustration of how the last painting was carried out.

Not all follow this method, but I felt it was necessary for this one as any mistakes would be very obvious!
The painting was based on a photograph taken by my wife. I don't always work from photographs as they can produce flat paintings - unlike paintings from sketches, but for this one it was probably alright.
